This is the summer holiday 2023 edition of activities for adults in Chew Valley.

PUB WALKS

  • Chew Valley Circular – 8km walk, stop off at The Bear & Swan, The Pelican or The Queens
  • Pensford Viaduct Circular – choose from the ever popular Rising Sun, The George & Dragon or The Travellers Rest – recently reopened under new management
  • Hinton Blewett Circular – 6km walk taking in two reservoirs and the Ring O’Bells pub
  • Litton walk – gentle 3.5km walk around Litton Lakes returning to award-winning The Litton pub
  • Burledge Hill Circular – 4km walk with plenty of hills! Reward yourself with a stop off at the Red Lion pub
  • 3 Peaks circular walk – taking in Pensford, Clutton and Chew Magna, with plenty of top pubs to stop off at along the way
  • Standing Stones at Stanton Drew – have a wander round the standing stones before relaxing at the Druids Arms
  • Pensford to Compton Dando – follow the river from Pensford to The Compton Inn, before taking a slow stroll back
  • The Butcombe Mendip Pub Trail – looking for a challenge? The 46-mile long Mendip Pub Trail connects 6 pubs owned by Butcombe Brewery, including The Ring O’Bells in Hinton Blewett and The Ring O’Bells in Compton Martin
  • Pensford & Stanton Wick Circular – 6km circular walk. Stop off to enjoy the Carpenters Arms in Stanton Wick
  • The Organic Gardens loop from West End – 11km circular route around Blagdon Lake, with a stop at The Seymour Arms
